Sedim z ogromnim mačkom in razmišljam. Boli me. Glava.

Za novo leto sem izgubil svoj zvesti pipec, ki mi je dobro služil 11let in tako sem se odločil za prvo plačo kupiti novega. Nieto mi je bil malo pretežak za v žep, zato sem se odločil poiskati malo lažjega, vendar vseeno klasičnega izgleda. Les je les in lepo zaobljena nenazobčena klina definitivno prispeva k estetiki. Vsaj pri meni. Kar se pa uporabnosti tiče mora imeti varovalo, vsaj 80mm rezilo in gumb za hitro odpiranje. Nedvomno je vodilo tudi oprijem v roki.

V ožji izbor sta prišla dva - ameriški gerber freeman folder, nosilec nagrade za pipec leta, in finski martiini mfk-2b. Ne bom lagal, da me niso vmes zamikali tudi damaščanci, ampak sem se odločil s tem še malo počakati, ko si bo moj prihodek lahko privoščil kaj takega.

Izdelek je bil torej izbran, samo še trgovca je blo potrebno najti, eden v ZDA, eden v Solingenu, Nemčija in nek privatnik tam na Slovaškem. Nedvomno je bil nek čar tudi v tem, da ga je težko dobit in po kakšnem tednu sem ga naročil, zaradi težav z bankami pa nisem uspel nakazati denarja in tako se je proces nakupa zavlekel za dober mesec, nakar grem za 8. marec kupit rožce v bližnjo cvetličarno in opazim dolgoiskani nož v našem Lovcu!!! Človek se matra in išče po celem svetu, na koncu ga pa dobi pred lastnim pragom in to še veliko ceneje (poštnina...).

Ker je nakup novega najljubšega pipca seveda določen obred pri katerem si mora človek vzeti čas, sem ponj skočil šele v sredo, ko je bilo malo zatišja v službi in sem lahko odšel prej domov. Prijazen trgovec mi je povedal, da jim te nože dostavlja tisti "moj" Nemec iz Solingena in niso direktni uvoznik iz Finske.

No dovolj uvoda sedaj - nož je čudovit, neverjetno oster, brez težav pobrije kocine na rokah in oh in sploh. Včeraj sem ga razstavil, ga očistil in naoljil in je res "masterpiece" - v zapornem mehanizmu je namreč ležaj za lepše zapiranje.

Drugače pa se konec maja obeta hawayee survival week(end), k se bomo zapeljali v en gozd in vsak skušal preživet dva dni samo z oblekami in pipcem. Pa verjetno tremi žveplenkami. Če bi se kdo rad pridružil naj sporoči...
